The leather back piece is cut from naturally tanned full grain bridle butt in Woodlore’s Rich Brown colour and sports the Ray Mears ‘snowshoe’ logo. The soft brown elastic straps hug your binoculars or camera close to your chest while not in use but have enough ‘give’ to allow you to lift your optics for use, while still being securely attached. Black nylon fittings with a matt finish prevent noise and reflection: four sliders offer easy adjustment of the elastic straps to get the best fit for all body sizes and swivel snap hooks couple quickly and easily to your equipment. Two sets of small black split rings and miniature cable ties are provided, allowing you to have two pieces of equipment prepared and ready for attachment to your harness.
An ideal piece of kit for stalking, wildlife and bird watching, and nature photography, it is also useful for park rangers, gamekeepers and many other outdoor occupations.
All of our leather and canvas goods are hand-made in England by Woodlore’s resident leather worker Becky Brewster, a craftswoman with over three decades of experience. The leather used in this product is vegetable tanned with full, natural grain and hand-dyed in house to the unique Woodlore colour. For an insight into Ray’s ethos on our leather goods, please view our Leather Goods page.
